Description
Overview of the sweater:
Hali is Finnish and it means a hug and as its name suggests, this is a knit that feels like a lovely hug. The design of Hali is relaxed, and the knit is stretchy—truly a trusted piece you’ll always want to wrap yourself in.
Hali is knitted from top to bottom in one piece with saddle shoulders that drape casually down. The pullover features a semi-high, wide collar, and the texture of the fabric is created using the broken rib stitch technique, which might seem challenging but isn’t: in practice, you simply alternate between knitting all stitches in stockinette or in 1×1 ribbing.
The saddle shoulders are worked with simple increases, first on the front and back pieces, and finally on the sleeves. These increases create a beautiful pattern on the shoulders. The stitches for the sleeves are picked up from the body, and the sleeves are worked individually. The body section is continued to the end as a seamless piece. There are no seams to sew. For the sleeves, you can choose whether to make long cuffs that are then folded double (as shown in the gray knit in the photos), or shorter cuffs without the fold.
