Overview of the hat:

The Tetris hat is an easy textured knit hat, worked from the bottom up. It features a ribbed brim, knitted with smaller needles, which is folded over double at the end. The simple textured stitch pattern for the crown is created with slightly larger needles by alternating knit and purl stitches. For yarn, you can choose a DK-weight yarn or a yarn combination that achieves DK weight, such as holding two strands of fingering-weight yarn together.

You need approx. 225 m/ 245 yds of DK weight yarn.

Beige hat: 1 skein of Tukuwool Fingering (100 % Finnish wool, 370 m / 100 g) in colorway Runo and 1 ball of Tukuwool silk mohair (30 % Cruelty-Free silk, 70 % RMS-Sertified Kidmohair, 225 m / 25 g), in colorway 739 Manna.

Note: You can knit the beanie with any DK-weight yarn or a comparable yarn combination, as long as the target gauge (below) is met.

Knitting needles: 

3 mm / US2,5 double pointed needles and / or 40 cm / 16” circular needles and 4 mm / US6 double pointed needles and / or 40 cm / 16” circular needles.

Gauge: (stockinette stitch, 4 mm/ US6): 10 x 10 cm =20 sts x 22 rows (blocked). Adjust needle size if necessary to achieve the correct gauge.
