Ridge Forrester Sweater

€8,90

My childhood TV favourite was the soap opera The Bold and the Beautiful. In the series, the heartbroken Ridge Forrester often retreated to his Big Bear cabin to grow out his beard and reflect on his relationships — often wearing a cosy, stylish turtleneck or something equally relaxed. This comfortable yet timeless turtleneck is knitted top down and features large cables and snug-fitting ribbings. A sweater Ridge would certainly have worn, too.

Description

Overview of the sweater:

This turtleneck sweater with simple yet bold cables is knitted top down in one piece. It features drop shoulders, a relaxed fit and double-folded ribbing on the sleeves and neck. Wide cables are worked along the body while a wide ribbing is worked on the hem and sleeve cuffs.

The back is knitted flat to the underarms, then stitches are picked up from each shoulder to work each front piece separately. After shaping the neckline with increases, the fronts are joined and continued to the underarms. At this point, the front and back are joined in the round and worked to the hem. Sleeve stitches are picked up from the armholes and worked in the round. Finally, the neck edge is finished with a folded 2 x 2 ribbed collar.
