Overview of the cardigan:

Mable is a cozy and relaxed cardigan knitted with large needles and a thick yet lightweight yarn—making it a quick project to complete! Mable features dropped, or “European,” shoulders, ensuring a great fit. The cardigan has a loose fit and is knitted top-down in one piece, starting with the upper back, which is worked flat. Stitches are then picked up for the front panels. The neckline is shaped with increases, one shoulder at a time. The work is joined at the underarms once the front and back panels are long enough, and the hem is knitted flat. Stitches are picked up for the sleeves, which are worked in the round. The hem and cuffs feature ribbing, and the neckline is finished with a double-fold button band.

You need approx. 750(850)900(1000)1100(1300)1400(1500) m / 820(930)990(1100)1200(1400)1500(1650) yds of airy bulky yarn and approx. 750(850)900(1000)1100(1300)1400(1500) m / 820(930)990(1100)1200(1400)1500(1650) yds of lace weight mohair yarn. The cardigan is knitted holding both yarns together.

Sample knitted with: 5(6)6(7)8(9)9(10) balls of  Sandnes Garn Kos (150 m / 165 yds / 50 g, 62% alpaca, 9% wool, 29% nylon) in colorway 2611 and 4(4)5(5)6(6)7(7) balls of Sandnes Garn Tynn Silk Mohair (212 m / 230 yds / 25 g, 57% mohair, 28% silk, 15 % wool) in colorway 3021, knitted holding both yarns together.

Other materials: Removable stitch markers, tapestry needle, 5–6 buttons (diameter of 2 cm / 0.75”)

Gauge:

14 sts x 21 rows = 10 x 10 cm / 4 x 4″ in stockinette stitch with 7 mm / US 10.75 needles (after blocking). 

Change the needle size if needed to achieve the right gauge.
