The It’s a Keeper Tee is the perfect blend of elegance and ease – a short-sleeved knit that’s as comfortable as your favourite T-shirt, but with the refined texture of a timeless wardrobe piece. Its rhythmic ribbed fabric drapes beautifully, while folded double hems at the sleeves and waist give a luxurious, structured finish. The neckline is framed with a sleek, understated i-cord edge, adding a subtle touch of sophistication.

Worked in DK-weight yarn, this tee is truly season-spanning – wear it on its own in warm weather or layer it effortlessly when the air turns crisp.

Construction begins at the shoulders, with broad, smooth stockinette shoulder panels that flow seamlessly down into the sleeves. The neckline is shaped with short rows for a flattering fit.

Whether styled casually with jeans or dressed up with tailored trousers, It’s a Keeper Tee is the kind of knit you’ll reach for again and again – just like its name promises.

Description

Overview of the pattern:

This elegant yet relaxed tee features saddle shoulder seams that flow seamlessly from neckline to sleeve, adding a refined touch to its clean silhouette textured with a beautiful rib pattern. Knit from DK-weight yarn, it’s light enough for layering and stylish enough to wear solo. Worked top-down with thoughtful shaping and a minimalist i-cord neckline finish and double folded stockinette stitch sleeve edges and hem — it’s the kind of knit that keeps on giving.

The piece begins with wide, smooth stockinette shoulder seams that extend all the way from the shoulders to the sleeve cuffs. The top is worked from the top down, starting with the shoulder seams, followed by shaping the neckline with short rows for a perfect fit. Stitches are then picked up along one shoulder seam to shape the front before joining the body, which is worked in the round down to the hem. Sleeve stitches are picked up and knitted in the round, and the neckline is finished with a simple and refined i-cord edge.
