Overview of the cardigan:

Poolaknits Dagmar cardigan is a cozy, long cardigan perfect for wrapping yourself up in to escape the cold. The cardigan is knitted top-down and features raglan sleeves, allowing you to easily adjust the size before knitting the body. It has long ribbed cuffs and a long hem, but you can also knit a shorter version if you prefer—I’ve included yarn requirements for a cardigan with a hem reaching the purple stripe of the pattern. Dagmar is knitted with chunky-weight yarn on large needles, so even a long cardigan comes together quickly. The sample pattern uses four colors, but you can knit the cardigan in any color combination you like, with or without stripes. The Novita Ateljee yarn used in the sample has been brushed with a mohair brush to create a fluffy finish.

Recommended ease: 15–25 cm / 6–10” of positive ease.

Length of the finished cardigan from shoulder to hem: approx.  60–65 cm / 23.5–25.5” (long version) or 35–40 cm / 13–15.75” (short version)

For the long cardigan you’ll need approx. 550(700)750(900)950(1100)1300(1350) g / 500(650)700(800)850(1050)1200(1250) m / 550(710)770(880)930(1150)1320(1370) yds of Novita Ateljee yarn (50 g / 45 m / 50 yds, 60 % mohair, 40 % wool) or similar bulky yarn as long as the target gauge (below) is met.
