Overview of the pattern:

The Tetris cardigan is knitted top-down, starting with the upper back and progressing to the front panels, which are then worked into the body that is knitted flat as one piece. The sleeves are worked in the round, directly attached to the body. The pattern includes instructions for five buttonholes on the button band, but you can easily substitute traditional buttons with snap fasteners and skip knitting the buttonholes entirely.

Difficulty level: Tetris is a knitting pattern for knitters who already know the basics of knitting.

Yarn: 

You will need approx. 1200(1350)1500(1650)1800(2000) m / 1300(1450)1650(1800)2000(2200) yds of fingering-weight yarn AND 1200(1350)1500(1650)1800(2000) m / 1300(1450)1650(1800)2000(2200) yds of lace-weight mohair yarn (knitted holding both strands of yarn together) OR approx. 1200(1350)1500(1650)1800(2000) m / 1300(1450)1650(1800)2000(2200) yds of DK-weight yarn.

Sample knitted with: 6(7)8(8)9(10) balls of Majo Garn Pearl Mohair (70 % kid mohair, 30 % silk, 210 m / 230 yds / 25 g) in colorway Azure and 7(8)9(9)11(12) balls of Majo Garn Fine Merino (100 % merino wool, 175 m / 190 /50 g) in colorway Azure.

Needles:

5 mm / US8: 40 cm /16 inch and 60 cm or 80 cm /24 or 32 inch circular needles 

3 mm / US2,5: double pointed needles and 60 cm or 80 cm /24 or 32 inch circular needles 

Other materials: removable stitch markers, tapestry needle, 5 pcs of buttons with circumference of 1,8 cm–2 cm / 0,5–0.75”.

Gauge: 10 x 10 cm / 4 x 4 inch = 18 sts x 23 rows in stockinette stitch with 5 mm / US7 needles (after blocking). Alter the needle size to meet the gauge.
