Overview of the cardigan:

It’s a Keeper Cardigan is an elegant yet relaxed knit cardigan featuring a beautiful ribbed texture and a V-neckline. Made with DK-weight yarn, this cardigan is a wardrobe staple that you’ll want to wear again and again, effortlessly pairing it with different outfits from casual to festive. The design includes wide, smooth stockinette shoulder seams, which serve as the starting point of the knit and extend seamlessly down to the cuffs.

The cardigan is worked top-down, beginning with the shoulder seams, after which the neckline is shaped with short rows for a well-fitted look. Stitches are then picked up along the shoulder seam to shape the front pieces before the body is joined and worked flat down to the hem. Stitches for the sleeves are picked up and worked in the round. The neckline is finished with a double-knitted button band, where buttons are attached at the end.

Recommended ease: 10–2 cm / 4–8” of positive ease. Sample knit has 20 cm / 8” of positive ease.

• Length from armpit to hem: approx. 25–35 cm / 10–14” – this can be altered
• Armhole circumference: approx. 39 (41, 44, 46, 49) (51, 54, 56, 60) cm / 15.25 (16, 17.25, 18, 19.25) (20, 21.25, 22, 23.5)”

Yarn:

Approx.1000 (1100, 1200, 1400, 1500) (1700, 1900, 2000, 2200) m / 1100 (1200, 1300, 1550, 1650) (1850, 2050, 2200, 2400) yds of dk-weight yarn.

Sample knitted with: 9 (10, 11, 12, 14) (15, 17, 18, 20) balls of Cardiff Cashmere Classic  (100 % cashmere, 112 m / 122 yds / 25 g), in colorway 671 Aeris.

Gauge:

20 sts x 24 rows = 10 x 10 cm / 4 x 4″ in *p2 k3* with 4 mm / US 6 needles (after blocking). 

Change the needle size if needed to achieve the right gauge.
