Description
Overview of the pattern:
The Bolsa Bag is a spacious summer bag featuring a beautiful lace pattern and long handles. This bag can hold everything from knitting projects to beach essentials! It is worked from the bottom up using DK-weight cotton yarn or a combination of lighter yarns, giving you plenty of material options.
First, the bottom of the bag is worked flat, after which the work continues in the round once all the stitches for the sides have been picked up. The sides of the bag are worked in the round with a pretty yet simple lace pattern. For the handles, stitches are picked up along the edges of the bag, worked flat, and then attached to the bag’s edges.
Finally, a simple lining is sewn inside the bag from a pillowcase, which can be stitched by hand or machine — although you may also choose to skip the lining if you prefer.
