Description

Alba-sweater is a wardrobe classic with a high neck, timeless modern design, dropped shoulders and beautiful detailing on the shoulders, sleeves and sides of the sweater. Alba is knitted top down starting from the shoulder seams, moving on to shaping the top of the back with short rows. 

The stitches for the front part are picked up from the shoulder seam and the work is joined in the round from the armpits. The details on the shoulder seams continue throughout the sleeves and the sides of the sweater. The ribbed high neck is knitted from stitches picked up from the neck hole. The stitches for the sleeves are picked up from the arm holes and the sleeves knitted in the round. Both the sleeve ends, and the hem of the sweater are finished with a long ribbing. The ribbing in the sleeves and the neck can be folded in half when wearing the sweater.

Note! The sweater has around 15-30 cm / 2.90-2.50 inches of positive ease, so pick a size with around 15-30 cm / 2.90-2.50 inches larger bust circumference than your own. If you prefer a tighter fit, choose a size that’s closer to your bust circumference.

– Length of the finished sweater from shoulder to hem: approx. 54(55)56(59)60(63)67(71)75(79) cm / 21.2(21.6)22(23.2)23.6(24.8)26.4(28)29.5(31.1) inches

Note! The length can be altered by making the hem shorter or longer. Make sure to note this with yarn usage.
