Kuvaus

Waldo is a very classic striped sweater, with the European shoulder-design and a relaxed fit. The sweater is knitted top down in one piece, starting from the top of the back, which is knitted flat and from where stitches are picked up to form the front part. The front and back parts are joined in the round from the armpits. The rest of the work is knitted in the round. Both the sweater hem and the sleeves have a long ribbing.

Measurements: 

Bust circumference of the finished sweater: approx. 107(115)127(135)146(158) cm 

Note! The sweater has around 15-25 cm of positive ease, so pick a size that is around 15-25 cm larger than your own bust circumference (or widest part). If you want the sweater to be of a tighter fit, choose a size that is closer to your bust circumference.

 

Length of the finished sweater from shoulder to hem: approx. 57-62 cm (all sizes, this can be altered) 

Circumference of the sleeve: approx. 40(42)44(46)48(59) cm 

Yarn: You will need DK-strength yarn or a combination of yarns 

Main colour: 200(200)250(250)300(300)g / 600(600)750(750)900(900) m 

Accent colour: 70(80)100(100)120(150) g / 250(300)350(350)400(400) m 

The sweater pictured in the pattern was knitted with Nordic Yarn Eco Cashmere DK in the shade “Ivalo” and Austermann Cashemere Pure in the shade 003 (red). You can knit the sweater with whatever DK-strength yarn or a combination of yarns, as long as you meet the gauge. 

Knitting needles: 

– 3 mm: double pointed needles and 60/80 cm circular needles 

– 4 mm: 40 cm and 60/80 cm circular needles 

Other materials: stitch markers, tapestry needle 

Gauge (in stockinette stitch): 10 x 10 cm = 21 sts x 32 rows. (Alter the needle size to meet the gauge)
