The neck ribbing is worked at the end from stitches that are picked up and knitted along the neck edge, after which it is turned twice at the end to give it a clean finish. When the body is ready, stitches for the sleeves are picked up and knitted along the armholes and the sleeves are worked in the round down to the cuffs. The broken rib stitch pattern is created by alternating stockinette stitch and 1 o 1 rib stitch between rows.
